Beauty and the Beast
To conclude the rewarding experience Beauty and the Beast has been, we share the words of our Head of Early Years and Primary, Magdalena De Stefani.
Beauty and the Beast 2023: Performing arts in the education of children and teenagers.🎭✨.
"She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within." - Beauty and the Beast.
We often perceive performing arts as a distant world, reserved for those with artistic talent. But, within education, art actually goes far beyond what is presented on stage. Its a powerful tool that allows our children and young people to discover their strengths, work on their weaknesses and learn from their frustrations. The performing arts prepare them to face challenges and shape their character.
This magical environment created around the arts fosters harmony, cooperation, and, above all, fundamental values such as tolerance, respect, and kindness. These are skills that our students will take with them, putting them into service in their relationships, their learning, and their personal development.
Those of us privileged to witness the magic involved in preparing a musical each year and to see individual and collective growth, can affirm that the performing arts are much more than a show. They are an invaluable tool in the comprehensive education of future leaders and empathetic citizens.💫🌟
